We have launched a new initiative which allows all our Year 10 students access to complimentary tickets to a professional performance of their choice in our very own Stantonbury Theatre.
The students are involved in planning the visits within their own Tutor groups and can invite another member of staff to join them.
Our 10P1 group have chosen to attend A Super Happy Story (About Feeling Super Sad) on Tuesday 5 March at 7.30pm. This piece of drama is a light-hearted and hilarious yet thought-provoking account of a serious subject.
Aside from being a fabulous cultural experience to Widen Horizons, this theatre visit is an opportunity for the students to build strong relationships within their group and with their Tutor.
Students taking part will need to organise their own transport to and from the theatre and should meet their tutor in the upstairs theatre foyer at 7.10pm. The performance will finish at approximately 8.30pm and students will be allowed to use mobile phones to contact home. They will not be allowed to walk home.
Access to the premises will be through the public community entrance and not the school gates which will be locked.
Parent or Carer permission must be given for those within the group, and invitation letters have been sent home, so please can you ensure that the slip is signed and returned to Charlotte Gregory in the Drama Dept as soon as possible.
