Here at Stantonbury International School, we take the safety of our students very seriously.
Last week we were made aware of an internet challenge on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Minecraft called Momo and we shared that information with you in good faith.
Since then there has been speculation around the challenge and it is now widely believed to have been a myth, although some young people may still require reassurance of this.
As a school, we will continue to act in line with best practice regarding Online safety and ensure we pass on important information we receive which might affect our students and the local community.
Our advice is to use this opportunity to speak with children and young people about their online activity. The article below contains further useful guidance for parents and carers regarding online safety issues and the nature of such social media hype.
