First Skype session with partner school in Germany

Wide Horizons- Internationalism: Our year 7 students were delighted to take part in the first ever Skype session today with our partner school Realschule Broich, located in Mulheim an der Ruhr,  near the city of Dusseldorf.

This enabled students to use their German language skills in preparing questions and responses in a real-life setting and even helping the German students with their English.

This exchange project forms part of our Middle Years Programme – MYP – curriculum for Modern Foreign Languages which asks students to explore ways of life in different environments to help them understand cultural context and conventions.

This is the first of many such exchanges planned in creating positive engagements with students and partner schools overseas.
