Wide Horizons: Internationalism:
Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning
Back in March, our Year 10 students visited Camden Market, London, as part of Connecting Classrooms -Surfing the Street Market, an international project that aims to engage students in the value of street markets in their own and other countries.
During the visit, our Stantonbury International School students introduced themselves to various street vendors and asked them to participate in their survey.
At the same time students in our partner schools, Rawdah High School in Beirut, Lebanon and CRPF Public School, Rohini, New Delhi, India, carried out similar surveys in their areas, and we now have some of those images to share with you- see below.
Our students are now in the process of comparing the results from all the market surveys carried out in Lebanon and India, as well as here in the UK, to find out about the popularity of the street markets, their economic status and the different challenges they face.
The final results will form the basis of an exhibition here at Stantonbury International School once the project is completed.
